“Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.”
Psalm 51:6 (KJV)
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, grace and peace to all!
Our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, reveals through this verse what our Heavenly Father desires most — truth within our hearts. He delights not in outward appearances, but in the sincerity of our inner being. It is in the quiet depths of our soul that He imparts His wisdom and understanding.
King David came to this realization when he ssaw the state of his heart. He discerned how far he had wandered from truth and immediately turned to repentance. His brokenness became the pathway to God’s mercy.
In the same way, the Lord invites us to examine our own hearts — to allow His truth to dwell richly within us and to walk steadfastly in the path of Christ. The Lord does not look for perfection, but for hearts open and honest before Him. A truthful heart brings divine wisdom, peace, and intimacy with God.
Prayer!
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in humility and reverence.
Lord, we confess that our hearts often lack truth. Only You can plant truth deep within us and fill us with Your wisdom.
There is no other God besides You, our refuge and strength. To whom shall we go but to You, O Father! Let Your light shine in our hidden places. Cleanse our hearts and make Your truth our foundation.
We ask this in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Amen!
