Deuteronomy 31:8 –
“The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

In this present world I feel completely alone. I keep forgetting that my Lord is with me, because the situations around me are pulling my mind away from Him. Yet in my life, my Christ Jesus has never changed. He is the same as always. Apart from Him I have no one to comfort me, no one at all.
I am asking you to take this short message and, using a Bible reference, share a gospel-based word that turns me back toward Christ and helps me receive spiritual strength, in about 700 words with a closing sentence.
The pain and loneliness in my heart, and the way I forget the truth that “the Lord is with me” in the middle of my problems, is actually the same experience many believers in the Bible went through. God’s Word says that He will never leave His people and never forsake them.
Jesus will never leave you
One of the greatest promises God gives His people is: “I will never leave you and I will never forsake you.” This promise was first spoken to the Israelites and to Joshua, but in the New Testament it is shown again as a promise for all believers.
Today, even if the situations around you make you feel completely alone, this promise is for you: the Lord is not leaving you, and He is not letting go of your hand. The world changes, people move away, relationships become weak, but this promise of God never changes.
Do not fear – I will lead you
In another promise God says: “Do not be afraid. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” These words speak directly to your heart in your present condition. When you look at your circumstances, you see only your own weakness. When you look at God, you see His strong arm and the hand that holds you up.
Just as God told Joshua, “Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid… for I am with you,” in the same way today the Lord is walking ahead of you in your life journey and preparing the way before you. He is speaking the same words to you. The loneliness, discouragement, sin, or weakness you are facing cannot cancel His promise to walk with you.
True comfort is only in Christ
As you said, “My Christ Jesus is the same forever; apart from Him I have no one to comfort me.” This is exactly what the Bible teaches. It says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Our feelings change and our circumstances change, but His love and His character never change.
The world often disappoints us. Even the people closest to us cannot fully understand our hearts. But God says, “I Myself will comfort you,” and He offers Himself as your comfort. This comfort is not temporary, like what the world gives. It is a divine comfort that lifts you out of sin, loneliness, and despair.
A call to turn back to Christ
Now there is one thing you need to do: take your eyes off the circumstances and fix them on Christ. Come to the feet of Jesus just as you really are, with all that is in your heart. Simply, with a childlike heart, say: “Lord, I feel alone, but I know Your promise. I know You will not forsake me.”
Confess before Him all the sins you have done, whether knowingly or unknowingly, and ask for His forgiveness. Jesus, through His blood, will cleanse you and help you experience His presence strongly once again. No matter how many times you have stumbled, every time you truly repent and turn back to Him, the door of His heart is already open even before you knock.
How to receive spiritual strength
If you want to grow strong spiritually:
- Every day, set aside at least a little time to sit quietly and honestly pour out your heart to God in prayer.
- Read God’s Word regularly, especially the promises that talk about His presence, His love, and His help, and keep those verses in your memory.
- Stay connected with a community of believers who can encourage you, such as a church, spiritual friends, or a prayer group, because the enemy often uses loneliness to attack us.
Each day you can make a small declaration of faith over your life: “Lord, You know everything I am going through. Still, You alone are my comfort, You alone are my strength, You alone are my helper.” Even these small steps of faith will strengthen your heart and give you new courage in the love of Christ.
Final reminder
Even if the situations around you make you feel completely alone, let this truth from the words of Jesus Christ hold you up: the Lord who loves you forever, who never leaves you and never forsakes you, is with you. In Him alone you have true comfort, true peace, and true strength, now and for all eternity.
